There are many kinds of lights out there, and it can be a daunting task picking the right one for you. Arguably, lighting is the most important aspect of video production. Here are a few options that would work best for you if you are producing your own videos.

The Ring Light

This light is great for ease of use. Usually they cycle between warm, neutral, and cool tones. Generally speaking, they have a built-in phone holder at the center, so it doubles as a tripod! Their primary drawback is that they are not too strong in their intensity, and do not do well in areas with a lot of sunlight.

The LED Panel

This is the light I would recommend for your personal videos. They are very versatile, and they allow for batteries to be used, which give it a level of mobility that isn’t restricted to what power sources are available. With a diffuser, you can get a nice clean look for your videos to make them look more polished.

The Small Bowens Mount Light

This is the light I would recommend if you are wanting to level up your videos aesthetics. With a dome diffuser, you get a great look that is standard with high end video production. They also can stand up to the sun better than the previous two options, which gives you more versatility in your backgrounds!

The Large Bowens Mount Light

This is the light you get when you are ready to be at the top of the game. They are powerful lights, and can stand up to the sun when you are shooting indoors, so you can get the lighting you want AND the nice background outside of the window!

There are so many other lights that you can go indepth on, but this is a list that will undoubtedly get you started on your journey.

Here are some links to some lights that fit in the categories above, as well as our video production page.
